     Fighting for a brighter Santa Monica

Last year, I was honored when the Santa Monica City Council appointed me to fill the Council seat left vacant by the passing of Herb Katz. With your help, I hope to be able to serve for the remaining two years of that term and continue my fight to preserve those things that make Santa Monica such a special place to live.

On the City Council, I've worked hard to protect afforable housing and existing neighborhoods that provide a safe and stable community for all residents, especially children and seniors. In my next term, I want to focus on livability and sustainability, which includes promoting streets that are pedestrian friendly, encouraging the development of more open space and public recreational facilties, and seeking innovative solutions to traffic and congestion. Just as important is ensuring the City's continuing economic strength by encouraging a diverse and robust economy, advancing enviormentally sound practices, supporting our great public scholls, and expanding programs for seniors and at-risk youth.
